Events
Minnesota

It is difficult to find a home on the site for the occasional event which doesn't fit neatly into a particular venue.  However, such events do exist, and are of interest to acoustic fans, so here's an attempt to collect them in one place.

Minnesota Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Association
MBOTMA sponsors a number of events each year, the most prominent being the annual Minnesota Bluegrass & Old-Time Music Festival, held in August.  In addition, there is a winter weekend festival, a spring fling, and another 3-day festival in early August.

Minnesota Folk Festival
Held near Hastings, Minnesota.  Check the site for details, since the location has changed occasionally.

Bluff Country Gathering
Nice little festival held in Lanesboro, Minnesota

Big Top Chautauqua
Not technically in Minnesota ("not technically" means in Wisconsin this time), but located near Lake Superior and 3 miles south of Bayfield, Wisconsin. Summer schedule includes performances in a large circus tent concert hall, by national, regional and touring musicians and runs from June through September each year.

Bay Front Blues Festival
In August at Bayfront Park in Duluth, Minnesota.  More electrified than acoustic, but a great place at a great time of year.

Two Harbors Folk Festival
In late July in Two Harbors, Minnesota, about 20 miles north of Duluth, MN, right on the shores of Lake Superior.

Wadena Rendevous
In August at the Old Wadena Historic County Park located northwest of Staples, in central Minnesota.  The Rendezvous is a community celebration - a country fair - recollecting the history and culture of the region in the past and showcasing the work of artists and musicians in the present.  The setting is a beautiful park on the banks of the scenic Crow Wing River.  Activities include reenactments of the French and Indian era of fur trading days with traditional and contemporary music, stories, and art.

10,000 Lakes Festival
A big festival in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota during July, this one has lots of loud rock music, but a mix of acoustic stuff is included.  Check the site to see if you want to go.

For a much larger list of events throughout the U.S., Canada, and a couple of European venues, go to Gatherings, another presentation of FolkBlues.Com.

Well, that's it for Events for now.  Let me know if you have something to add here.  (Or anywhere on the site for that matter.)
